In response to members' internal demands for globalization, SVEF developed an international arm called the Silicon Valley Employers International Forum (SVEIF). SVEIF has its own Board of Directors, membership criteria, dues structure, goals and objectives. Each member company holds one Board seat. Employers may join SVEIF independently or in conjunction with SVEF.

SVEIF Board members meet quarterly to collaborate on international benefits issues. SVEIF Board meetings include employer round table discussions, expert topic speakers, case study presentations and projects that support the sharing of best practices. SVEIF members have access to proprietary tools such as the SVEIF international survey, benchmarking list and vendor summary.

Since 2003, SVEIF has supported an SVEIF global database inventory system that provides market, statutory, and mandatory region-specific information. The system is also a repository for SVEIF specific company-level data to support group benchmarking. The project supports members' efforts to optimize provision and management of benefits to employees and families throughout the world.
